The Raven Richmond Foundation was created out of love, loss, and a commitment to ensure that Raven Richmond is remembered for the life she lived and the care she gave, not the violence that took her from us.

Raven was a nurturer by nature. She loved books, animals, and children, and she showed up for others with quiet compassion. As a library worker at the Walnut Park Library, she created safe and welcoming spaces for young people and families. She believed deeply in learning, kindness, and community care. She was also preparing for a new chapter of her life as a mother, filled with hope, purpose, and love.

When Raven’s life was taken by domestic gun violence, our family made a conscious choice. We would not allow her story to end in tragedy. Instead, we committed to carrying her values forward in ways that create real and lasting impact.

The Raven Richmond Foundation exists to uplift women, children, and communities through literacy, compassion for animals, and healing centered support for those impacted by domestic and gun violence. Through scholarships, community led service, and acts of intentional care, we invest in the futures Raven cared most deeply about, young women, families, pets, and safe and nurturing spaces.

This foundation is our way of transforming grief into action and honoring Raven by building the world she believed in, one rooted in care, protection, education, and love.

Raven’s legacy lives on through every life we touch, every book placed in a child’s hands, every woman supported, and every act of compassion made in her name.
