My husband, Brett, and I became Crossroads supporters back in 2020 when we learned that we were becoming grandparents. Since then, we have celebrated the births of 4 grandchildren, and they bring so much joy into our lives! I enjoy watching my children being parents. There are many snuggles, and there are many struggles. Becoming a parent is never easy - even in the "best" of circumstances, but it is ALWAYS worth it. My hope is to raise funds to give more parents and parents-to-be the resources they need to feel loved, understood, and encouraged. Full disclosure: I am NOT a runner or at least I haven't been for a long time. However, I signed up to run the 5k this year. I downloaded the Couch-to-5k app for structure and motiviation, and received this confirmation - at the 8 week mark when I should be able to run 3.1 miles is May 4th...the date of the RBR! God is so good.....all the time :)
