As we close out 2025, we invite you to help us carry forward the good work the Lord has begun here. Your gift helps us continue to be a steady light for the students who walk through our doors today, and for those who are still on their way.

We are so grateful for your generosity on Giving Tuesday. Our goal remains within reach, and every act of support brings us closer to sustaining a place of encounter where the light of the Gospel can shine ever more brightly in the hearts of our students.

One of the most impactful ways you can help us Light the Way is by inviting someone you know to give as well. Together, we can brighten the path for our students and strengthen the mission that serves them.

As we continue Advent, a season of watching, waiting, and longing for the Light who comes into the world, we at Raider Catholic are reflecting on the ways Christ continues to reveal Himself here on Texas Tech’s campus. Every day, students come to the John Saleh Catholic Student Center carrying questions, hopes, anxieties, and a desire for meaning. College is often a winding and uncertain path, and at times, even a dark one. Yet here, in this community, they encounter the Light of Christ. They find belonging, friendship, and a foundation of faith that can sustain them long after graduation.

We believe that when you give, you are helping illuminate the path for our students. Your generosity becomes like the flame of the Easter candle passed from one person to another, never diminished, only multiplied. Just as light spreads quietly, beautifully, and steadily, your gift has a profound and lasting impact.

Our goal is $65,000, which will directly support:

providing a safe space for students to grow, study, and encounter Christ,
student leadership formation,
retreats and small groups, and spiritual development opportunties,
daily access to the Sacraments and prayer,
mentorship and guidance from our staff,
and a welcoming home away from home where faith can take root and grow.

We invite you to fill this out and add your flame to our mission. If you’d like, you may write the name of a student to be prayed for this Advent in the “in honor of” section. We will display this in the form of a paper candle in our student center as a visible reminder of the prayers and generosity that help sustain this ministry, and as a sign to our students that they matter.
