There are many social experts who argue that today’s Youth/Teens and their families are in crisis and under attack. Gang warfare, street stabbings, cyberbullying, school shootings, the proliferation of drugs, anxiety & depression just to name a few make life tough. The JGF was formed by two sisters, who have overcame a history of childhood trauma and now joining forces to combat the Mental Health Crisis in our city.We are passionate and dedicated to helping "Youth At Risk" by meeting and engaging youth, parents and caregivers in low income communities high in crime, to provide resources and services. The single greatest need for Youth suffering from Mental Illness is continuous caring and real support!! Helping one person at a time is all it takes!!

Our street outreach program is not solely concerned with educating parents, caregivers and community about Youth suffering from Mental Illness we are interested in identifying Youth who may require shelter assistance, support must also be provided to those who, for one reason or another: (1) have to live on the streets, (2) aren’t ready for more of the establishment, (3) have a police record and fear incarceration, or (4) are suffering from a trauma or in a abusive situation and need a way out.We also educate and share Prevention Resources to the Community on Youth Mental Health Crisis,Human Trafficking,Substance Abuse, Domestic Violence, and Education.

$25.00 - Buys a 7 Day Metro Card to look for work or attend One on One Therapy Session,Meetings with a Peer Mentor, Counseling with a Provider.
$50.00 - Buys a week of groceries for a hungry homeless youth.
$100-$500.00 - Provides 20 Caregivers,Parents or Family with Youth Mental Health Training and Materials (Facilitated by a LMHC)
