Mission & History.
Mission Statement: To provide compassionate and confidential care, support, and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault, while promoting awareness and prevention in the communities we serve.
Founded in 1992, the Sexual Assault Center of Northwest Georgia is a non-profit organization serving victims of all ages who have been affected by sexual assault, exploitation, and abuse. SACNWGA services are free, confidential, and most importantly 24/7. Our compassionate team provides advocacy, forensic medical services, counseling, education, and support to survivors and their families.
Need.
Like many nonprofits, the Sexual Assault Center of NWGA has experienced funding challenges over the past few years. These challenges came at a time when victim services programs are already stressed from an increased demand for services. Now more than ever, we need your support to continue providing 24/7 advocacy and forensic medical services 365 days each year.
