Raleigh City Farm is GROWING!

We are a nonprofit urban farm founded in 2011 on a formerly vacant one-acre lot in downtown Raleigh. And now, we're excited to seed our second location at Marsh Creek Park in partnership with the City of Raleigh's Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department!

The growth of Raleigh City Farm looks like:

Another place in the city where anyone can learn about farming
A model that demonstrates how to incorporate more edible greenspace into the urban fabric
A gathering space for the community to connect and see where and how their food is grown

Our mission to connect and nourish our community through regenerative agriculture has deep roots. We believe in the power of urban farms to reduce waste, create healthier communities, and reconnect city-dwellers with healthy food production through more frequent encounters with agriculture.

We model environmental stewardship and share practices they can use in their own homes and backyards. This work will be replicated at Marsh Creek Park by:

Making the site a model for regenerative agriculture that is healthier for plants, people, and the planet
Ensuring that more healthy food is accessible and affordable to the surrounding community
Educating and engaging the community through workdays, workshops and other programs
Growing the next generation of farmers through internship opportunities

Transformation is at the heart of our work. From concrete and weeds to thriving rows of produce, we’ve seen what happens when community, creativity, and care meet the soil. Our next chapter at Marsh Creek Park will build on that legacy—turning another empty space into a flourishing hub for local food and learning.
