There are places in our own country where people can feel forgotten. Linefork, Kentucky is one of the communities Untether Life has committed to showing up for—not once, but again and again.

Nestled in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, Linefork is a community filled with people, families, churches, and stories that matter. Untether Life partners with the Dr. Mary Bennett Foundation, a ministry with deep roots in the region and a long history of serving families throughout Appalachia.

Our goal is simple: to come alongside the people already doing the work, bring additional resources and helping hands, and create opportunities for others to experience what happens when faith becomes action.

That means our work in Kentucky can look different throughout the year.

Teams may help distribute food and essential supplies, visit families throughout the mountains, complete projects around homes or ministry facilities, serve alongside the local church, pray with residents, prepare meals, assist with community events, or simply spend time listening and building relationships.

We also want to help bring more people to Linefork.

Untether Life is working to create opportunities for churches, youth groups, families, college students, and small mission teams to serve in Appalachia through camps, outreach programs, service projects, children's activities, community gatherings, and relational ministry.

Because this isn't about one mission trip.

It's about building a relationship with a community.

Why We Keep Coming Back

We believe sustainable ministry begins with listening. Instead of arriving with our own ideas about what a community needs, we work alongside local leaders who live there, serve there, and understand their neighbors. They help identify needs, and we help mobilize people and resources to meet them.

Sometimes that means food. Sometimes it means repairs or supplies.

Sometimes it means bringing a group of teenagers who are willing to spend a week running a children's camp.

Sometimes it means sitting on someone's porch, hearing their story, and praying together.

All of it matters.

Presence matters. People matter. And the Gospel is meant to be lived out.

This campaign provides ongoing support for Untether Life's ministry and mission efforts in Linefork and the surrounding Appalachian community.

Funds may be used to help:

Purchase food and essential supplies for local families
Support community feeding and outreach initiatives
Purchase materials for children's and youth programs
Provide supplies for camps and community events
Complete service and improvement projects identified by our local partners
Equip mission teams with necessary ministry and project supplies
Help offset mission costs and make service opportunities more accessible
Respond to emerging needs within the community
Develop future outreach opportunities in partnership with local leaders

Rather than raising money for only one trip or project, your support allows us to build something sustainable—a ministry presence that can respond when needs arise and continue bringing teams into the community year after year.

Bring Your Team to Kentucky

Giving isn't the only way to get involved. We want to see more people experience missions right here in the United States.

If you're part of a church, youth ministry, college group, family, small group, or organization, we'd love to talk with you about serving in Linefork.

Domestic missions can be an incredible introduction to mission work. There are no passports or international flights, no language barrier, and teams can travel together by vehicle while still experiencing a community and culture that may be very different from their own.

Groups can participate in existing outreach efforts or work with us to develop an experience around their team's gifts and the needs identified by our partners.

Your group might help run a children's or youth camp, complete service projects, distribute food, visit families, serve alongside the local church, prepare community meals, or participate in prayer and relational outreach.

You don't have to be an experienced missionary.

You just have to be willing to show up.

Whether you give $25, bring twenty teenagers for a week, help purchase food for local families, or simply share this campaign with someone looking for a place to serve, you become part of a much bigger story.
