Restoring Justice is the only nonprofit in Houston and Texas that provides trial-level representation and social services to the indigent facing criminal accusations. We believe holistic, loving, and client-centered representation is the only solution to mass incarceration. In our fight to prevent unnecessary and wrongful incarceration, we strive to replace fear-based perceptions of those in our criminal justice system to love-based hope.

While we can no longer convene in person, Restoring Justice has continued to support our community. Now more than ever, Restoring Justice is staying committed to its mission to help our incarcerated brothers and sisters and their loved ones, and are actively doing so by:

Supporting the incarcerated by assisting with bail through our own community bail fund as well as a partnership with the national nonprofit, The Bail Project and local nonprofit Pure Justice;
Supporting the incarcerated with legal services, including emergency motions for bond or compassionate release from custody;
Supporting the health of the incarcerated by providing them with money for commissary that can be used for hygiene products or nutritious foods;
Supporting those recently released from custody with providing them access to housing, counseling, and welfare services; and
Supporting the loved ones of those incarcerated with financial support for groceries and other social services.
