Ribbit Network is a non-profit (501c3) creating open-source sensors that build an open Greenhouse Gas Emissions dataset that will empower anyone to join the work on climate and provide informed data for climate action. We're an all-volunteer team building everything we do in the open-source community.

We rely on your support to fund our research and keep the instructions and data set open to the public. We have several exciting projects we would love to develop, and your support will enable them:

We are developing a Solar Powered Frog Sensor which will enable truly sustainable greenhouse gas monitoring, as well as filling a hole in the open source community about how to build low-power, solar sensors.
Create a Methane Monitoring Sensor - The number 1 request from our science advisory board is for us to develop a sensor that can sense Methane in addition to CO2. This would be a key enabler for climate scientists and policymakers but requires your help with funding as many sensors and electronics are needed to be purchased to test and validate our methodology.
Enhance our data visualization and software system - Hosting and improving our data platform is a key part of the Ribbit learning experience and scientific outreach. It requires constant improvements and we have a whole host of ideas to make it better, including a website that allows self-registration of your Frog sensor and notifications if it goes offline or needs your attention.

We have set a fundraising goal, and the more money we raise, the more hardware we can purchase to advance our mission.
