Our annual Ride-A-Thon is happening during the month of October, with a fun new online format: During the month of October, students will ride through a fun and challenging 10 step obstacle course after registering online and promoting their ride to friends and family to raise funds. In addition to the student riders, anyone can virtually “ride” their favorite school horse by joining its team online (or they can create their own team), all the while raising much appreciated funds through generous sponsors’ donations.

This is an opportunity to support our nonprofit mission of providing affordable riding lessons and teaching good horsemanship to anyone, regardless of their capabilities, and perhaps fostering a life-long love of horses. This year funds raised will go into our School Horse Medical Fund ♥️.

While we take every precaution to maintain the health and well-being of our school horses, accidents and illnesses can still occur. When they do, we want to ensure that our horses receive the best possible care. Unfortunately, the cost of veterinary treatment for horses can be quite high, and we operate on a limited budget.

This is why we are asking for your help. By donating to our medical fund, you will be helping us provide non-emergency veterinary care for our school horses. This fund will allow us to address health issues as they arise, rather than waiting until they become severe and require emergency care. By catching and treating issues early, we can help to ensure that our horses remain healthy and happy, and that our program can continue to serve our community for years to come.

Your contribution, no matter the size, can make a real difference in the lives of our horses and the students who depend on them.

You can sign up or donate on this page. Riding Centre students will ride in the Ride-A-Thon during regularly scheduled lessons one week of October. Students can sign up online (above by clicking the “Ride & Raise Funds” button) and then ride the obstacle course with 10 challenges. They can then share their individual donation page and sponsors can support them through convenient online donations.

Anyone can become a "virtual rider" and can also sign up online, choosing their favorite school horse's "team", (or even create their own team) and sponsors can donate to their individual campaigns. Online sign up makes it simple to track your progress.

The Ride-A-Thon will be available for donations through October 31. It’s so easy to donate, using PayPal, Venmo, credit card, or by check, if you prefer. All donations are tax deductible too. Don’t forget to spread the word about this fundraiser through social media links.

Our goal is to raise $15,000. Prizes will be awarded to riding students for the largest single donation collected, for the most money raised, and through a random drawing of participants. Be sure to check this web page often to track our progress!
