Sage Healthcare started with the idea that "there has to be a better way!" We saw people falling through the cracks, those with no healthcare insurance, becoming sicker and placing a burden on their communities. We saw the mentally ill who were not receiving care, living on the streets, mumbling and lost. And, we saw that there weren't enough healthcare providers to help them.

Sage Healthcare started with a group of Nurse Practitioners who taught at the local universities. We decided we could volunteer hours to staff a clinic. Then, we brought our students in to learn about the community's "frontline" needs, molding them into compassionate, dedicated healthcare providers. It worked amazingly!

Now we are expanding to address the forgotten mentally ill. Prescribing medication and keeping them hidden in a government-subsidized room is not the answer. We believe that providing the holistic healthcare they need at Sage Clinic, including coaching them to reach their full potential in life skills and welcoming them into a happy home like Robby's House is the solution.
