Our Story: In 2014 Girls Rock Charlotte held our first Kids Camp! Since that year we have grown and evolved, much like our campers. We've added a Teen Camp and Film Camp along the years AND this year we've changed our name!

In 2022 we transitioned from Girls Rock Charlotte to We Rock Charlotte. Our name has evolved with the needs of our youth. From day 1 we have been a safe space for girls and gender diverse youth to find empowerment through music (& then film!). We wanted our name to reflect the campers we serve and to now include allies.

No matter what our name is - our goal is to make sure that our programming remains accessible to youth all over Charlotte and our neighboring communities. Our goal is to always have at least 50% of our camps funded by scholarships, provide low cost or free music lessons to youth who apply, and to provide free workshop opportunities for youth interested in music & film.

That's where you come in! Help us fund our upcoming programs and provide music lessons to youth who come from low income households! Our goal is to raise $7,000 to fuel our 2023 programs.

The Impact: Your gift will go directly into creating hands-on experiences in music and film that teach youth the power of self-confidence, self-expression, allyship, and using your voice to create disruptive, lasting change in our community.

We Rock Charlotte supports underserved communities by offering summer camp & music lesson scholarships and free monthly music and film workshops for children and teens.
