The Rock the Blocks Fundraising Committee is excited to announce its Rock the Blocks Campaign to raise $85,000 to purchase and install new starting blocks at the Beede Center. The Rock the Blocks Fundraising Committee is operating under and as a part of Friends of CCHS Swimming and Diving.

The current starting blocks have deteriorated over time since their installation in 2006 and are unable to be repaired.

The new Myrtha starting platforms that we have selected to purchase and install, alleviate the current safety concerns. The anchoring system uses a deck-mounted plate, leaving them wobble free. The stainless steel removable tops allow for them to be resurfaced easily at some point in the future. Their larger size gives athletes more stability. Finally, they have the movable wedge and side handrail features for more powerful and competitive starts. Friends of CCHS Swimming and Diving will donate the blocks and installation as a gift to the Beede Center for use by all of their programming.
