Indigo Soul NYC Presents A Nine Hour Livestream Event: ROE IN THE STUDIO

About:

On June 24th, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in their decision in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Today, tens of millions of people are without access to full reproductive care.

Since the decision 13 states have full bans on abortion, 15 states are operating without abortion clinics entirely, and many others are fighting to block bans and gestational limits.

Mission:

Our mission is to bring people together through music to raise money for the National Network of Abortion Funds and give support to clinics and individuals fighting to keep essential healthcare accessible across the country.

This will be a safe space for healing as well as a rallying cry to inspire our community here in New York and residents of states where Roe v. Wade will be on the ballot (Michigan, Vermont, California, Montana, Kentucky, Kansas) to get out and vote on election day.

Performers and Activists:

Performances will feature female and female-led groups: Emily Sara, Brea Fournier and the Dream Ballet, Sophia Bondi, Sofía Campoamor, Klemntyna, Drad3, Emily Einhorn and Beth Abrams, Half Tramp, Rebecca Karpen, Cat Rickman, Leah Tash, Overcoats, Kam Franklin (The Suffers), Gabrielle Marlena, Resistance Revival Chorus, and Estelì Gomez

We will also be featuring speakers and activists who are currently fighting for reproductive rights across the country: Tali Farhadian Weinstein, Shout Your Abortion, and Katie Mack.
