The Mineral County Helpline (MCHI) stands beside individuals and families in their most difficult moments, offering safety, hope, and a path forward for those impacted by crisis and interpersonal violence. Through compassionate advocacy, peer support, and resource navigation, we help survivors move from fear and uncertainty toward healing and independence.

But our work doesn’t stop there. We believe every person deserves dignity and the chance to thrive. That’s why we help families access critical resources, provide essential hygiene items through our community pantry, and ensure children can walk into school with confidence through backpacks, supplies, new clothes, and shoes. During the holidays, we bring warmth and joy to families by providing winter coats, boots, clothing, gifts for children, and hygiene bundles for the household.

With every service, we are not just meeting needs, we are restoring hope, strengthening families, and building a more resilient community. Mineral County Helpline is growing, and honestly, our community needs us to grow right along with it.

Right now, we’re working to raise $40,000 so we can move into a larger, more private, and safer space. It’s something we really need to better support the people who come to us every day. This funding will cover:

• Rent for a larger facility

• Monthly operating costs

• Insurance and safety requirements for one full year

Estimated $40,000 breakdown…

• $24,000 Annual Rent

• $6,000 – Insurance

• $7,000 – Annual operating costs

• $3,000 – Program space and furnishings

This new space would make a real difference. It would allow us to offer confidential, one on one support, expand services for families and youth, host support groups, and create a place that truly feels safe and welcoming. At the end of the day, this isn’t just about a building, it’s about making sure no one in our community has to face a crisis alone.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps us get closer. Whether it’s a few dollars or a larger gift, it all adds up and truly makes a difference for the people we serve.
