Rooted is committed to growing community-led food systems, and we do it with joy!

That joy is what fuels our commitment: the smiles of students at 12 public schools and 3 kids' gardens, the dedication of community gardeners across Dane County, and the shared meals at neighborhood events.

We see your commitment, too! As a volunteer, parent, gardener, or neighbor, your support is essential. It’s why local kids taste vegetables they grow, why families receive fresh produce from neighborhood centers, and why 79 acres of urban green space remain productive.

This year we brought together people of all ages to eat, grow, harvest, and learn about food and ecosystems while building community and growing valuable skills. This is the foundation of our work and our joy.
