Welcome to the Holiday Food Box Challenge!

A friendly challenge to Unite for Good and sponsor the cost of a box of food items to prepare a holiday meal. There are 300 households who are food-insecure and connected with the YMCA food program or community health workers. At $40 per box, we are hoping to bring Rotarians together to help support these costs. There will also be a volunteer opportunity to help pack the boxes on December 16th at the Dahl Family YMCA branch.

The Rotary Works Foundation is jumping in to contribute $4,000 when our campaign reaches $4,000!

Who’s involved? Any Rotary Clubs and individual members who want to participate (no one is obligated) and the greater Rotary network. Each club will be listed as a team on this site so this campaign can be shared with friends and family while still getting credit for your club.

This is a friendly competition where we’ll announce the clubs that bring in the most dollars per club membership size as well as the most funds total and most donations total. While the real prize is knowing that you helped create some holiday magic for local families, there will also be bragging rights and other fun prizes awarded.

The online campaign will open up on December 1st and run through December 15th or until we meet our goal of $12,000—share the campaign and give early to ensure your club wins!

Donations made by check can be addressed to the La Crosse Area Family Y, with "Rotary Food Box - (Name of Rotary Club)" in the memo. Please drop off at either YMCA branch or mail to 1140 Main Street, La Crosse, WI 54601.
