The cost of Summer Rowing at CMI is covered by our members who row, and yet so much more goes into making the season successful. Here are just a few of the costs we hope to cover during this ten day push:

Row Forward - A standalone opportunity for cancer survivors $5000.

Safety - New yellow safety flags, flagpoles, radios, medkits & cox boxes, bow and stern lights, and more. These are frequently replaced for rower safety. Coxswains are required to have First Aid/CPR certification. All this costs CMI over $1000 every summer.

Refurbish - CMI has acquired (at no cost!) an international standard coxed quadruple scull, which we will refurbish and have on the water soon, giving rowers exciting new options. Renovation costs are estimated at $4000.

Access - Some youth and adult rowers are unable to afford the full cost of rowing. At CMI, we work to ensure that financial circumstances never stand between someone and the opportunity to row. The costs associated with financial assistance, support for rowers with mobility or cognitive challenges, and refunds for unexpected circumstances, such as injuries, can be substantial. This support totals up to $5000.

Competitive Pay - Great programs depend on great people. Every July 1, we recognize our staff with pay increases based on experience, longevity, coaching excellence, safety and reliability. As CMI grows, so does our commitment to offering competitive wages that helps us retain the talented and engaging team our rowers rely on.
