Rio Play Book – Mission

At The Rio Play Book, our mission is to provide a hand up — not a handout — by creating meaningful opportunities for Veterans and young people who may not otherwise have access to them. We open doors to new, rich, and empowering environments that build confidence, curiosity, and long‑term growth.

We promote active, healthy lifestyles through physical, social, and community‑driven platforms. Whether on the court, in the classroom, or out in the community, we help our players and Veterans develop discipline, teamwork, and a sense of belonging.

As part of our commitment to lifelong learning, we proudly encourage both Veterans and youth athletes to participate in the ACEE Financial Literacy Challenge and to take full advantage of the valuable tools and real‑time resources available on the ACEE platform. These experiences strengthen financial confidence, smart money habits, and future‑ready decision‑making.

Our annual Drives for Dreams fundraiser fuels our mission — bringing together golfers, families, Veterans, and supporters to help fund camps, financial literacy programs, athletic opportunities, and community experiences. And in true Rio Play Book spirit, we celebrate our inclusive motto: “Watch Out for Bikers” — a reminder that everyone is welcome, from seasoned golfers to first‑timers rolling in on two wheels.
