🎧 Ducky Dynamo — The Beat of Baltimore

If you’re from West Baltimore—especially the 21217—you already know the party don’t start ‘til the DJ says so. And this month at the Black Artist Fair, DJ Ducky Dynamo is that DJ. Born and raised in the heart of the city, Ducky’s not just spinning Baltimore Club tracks—she’s making sure the culture that raised us never gets erased.

She’s rocked the best clubs from Baltimore to across the globe, but right now, she’s laser-focused on keeping our sound alive and ours. Ducky’s fight to buy back the old Club Choices (Trip’s/Gatsby’s) and turn it into a space for us has paid off. This past saturday, A $1M public art project illuminated Baltimore’s overlooked old Club Choices (Trip’s/Gatsby’s). The Black Artist Fair isn’t just a celebration of art—it’s a celebration of us. Our people. Our power. Our potential. And every month, we make sure the resources we bring into the space reflect that.

This month, we’re keeping the energy rooted in community, culture, and connection—with a Baltimore Club Music beat in the background, of course. We are proud to have Associated Black Charities and Bmore Than Dance our resources for this month.

Associated Black Charities, an organization deeply invested in the economic advancement of Black Marylanders. They’re pulling up to show Black creatives how to tap into funding opportunities, capacity-building tools, and advocacy resources that are built for us, by us. Whether you’re an emerging artist or an established cultural worker, they’re here to help you build sustainability and wealth through your artistry.

BMORE Than Dance, an organization that lives at the intersection of movement and mentorship. They’ll be showcasing their children’s dance program, a vital community space where youth can connect to Baltimore’s iconic dance legacy while developing confidence, discipline, and joy through movement. Perfect for parents, guardians, and educators looking to plug young folks into something positive and powerful.
