At Mississippi Spay and Neuter (MS-SPAN), we know that the only way to end pet overpopulation is through prevention. Spay and neuter is a simple and safe way to stop unplanned litters of puppies and kittens.
Mississippi is the poorest state in the nation and countless families struggle just to meet their basic human needs. Unfortunately, many families do not have the resources to have their cats and dogs sterilized, even though they love them dearly. This often leads to unplanned litters of puppies and kittens and the heart-wrenching choice to surrender them to a shelter.
We have always provided spay and neuter surgeries to any pet owner who walks through our doors, regardless of their ability to pay. On average, families need about $20.50 in financial assistance to spay or neuter a pet.
With your support, we can ensure that every animal born in Mississippi has a place to call home, with loving people to call family.
Starting December 14th, all donations up to $2,600 will be matched by two generous anonymous donors!
