The Lucia Lamour Foundation was founded in 2020. The Foundation’s mission is to work with the local communities to renovate and build schools, libraries and centers. The Foundation is dedicated to reducing illiteracy in Haiti through humanitarian assistance.

We are excited to share that the Lucia Lamour Foundation has formed a running team to participate in the NYCRUNS Brooklyn Half Marathon on Saturday, November 22, 2025, and we’d love for you to be part of it- whether physically running, fundraising or both!

This year, Team Run for Lucia will be running to support the Lucia Lamour Foundation, in recognition of namesake Ms. Lucia Lamour's dedication to humanitarian assistance, educational programs, and improving learning environments. The funds will contribute to the building of a state-of-the-art sports complex in Trou-du-Nord, Haiti and sponsor Haitian athletes for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

Every mile we run will make a difference to the athletes and Haitian community. Together, we can build something extraordinary!
