During a special one-month challenge period, we raised an additional $33,000, allowing us to add another rural newsroom to the pilot cohort. That means more four communities will have access to stronger, more reliable local news at the end of the 12-month project.

Across western Iowa, many newsrooms are still operating with outdated tools that limit their ability to reach residents, cover critical issues, and keep communities informed and connected. Every additional dollar raised helps us bring another newsroom into this effort.
