A Gift Card Makes A Difference

You may not have given it much thought...

But gift cards are a continuous need for homeless shelters as families transition in and out of temporary housing.

You see, a simple gift card goes a LONG way.

It can help parents buy gloves for work, or buy baby shoes for the winter.

That’s why...

If you’re looking to make a real impact as the holiday season begins, we hope you’ll join the Theta Rho Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in donating to our second annual virtual gift card drive: "Families First: The 20/25 Gift Card Drive."

The Goal

The goal of this drive is to help as many families as possible at this shelter with their urgent needs.

In our inaugural drive, we successfully raised over $1,300 and donated 54 gift cards to families in need!

And this year, our goal is to beat it.

When you make a donation today in any increment of $20 or $25, we’ll go out and buy gift cards directly from stores like Giant, Safeway, and Walmart – all stores that meet the immediate needs of families.

Then, we’ll drop them off directly to the Carpenter’s Shelter so that your donation goes directly to families in need.

How It Works

If you donate $20, one gift card will be given directly to a family in need.
If you donate $100, five $20 gift cards or four $25 gift cards will be bought and distributed.
And if you donate, let’s say, $1,000 – forty or fifty total gift cards will be bought and given to families throughout the shelter.
