Children are the essence of how we create peace, one generation at a time. By inspiring and empowering them to lead, we lay the foundation for a sustainable and peaceful future. We are dedicated to nurturing this transformative movement, ensuring that children are at the heart of global peace efforts, shaping a world where their voices lead us toward a brighter tomorrow.

In August 2025, our community gathered for Love, the Heartache, a night of music, poetry, and letters of love for Palestinian children. The evening featured singer-songwriter Marika Straw, local dancers and poets, and a collective letter-writing activity that brought voices of love and solidarity to children living under conflict.

We are deeply grateful to Marika for sparking the first benefit and dedicating her album to this cause. But the story does not end with the concert. That night was the beginning of something bigger: the launch of the Generation Peace campaign.

What is Generation Peace?
Generation Peace is the flagship initiative of Fields of Peace. This program connects children in rural Oregon with their peers in Palestine through storytelling, dialogue, and civic imagination. Generation Peace places children at the center of peacebuilding — not only as symbols of why peace matters, but as active leaders shaping a more just and loving future.

Host virtual youth exchanges supported by civic learning and student-led storytelling.
Equip young people to become compassionate leaders and peacebuilders.
Provide educators and schools with tools for dialogue, reflection, and global awareness.
Strengthen our community-based capacity to deliver the program with care and continuity.
