Welcome! Sông2Sea is thrilled to share our limited-edition calendar fundraiser for the upcoming Year of the Fire Horse, which runs from February 17, 2026, to February 5, 2027!

The Fire Horse represents vigor, independence, and determination, and the theme for our calendar is based on two Vietnamese proverbs:

“Ngựa hay không sợ đường dài,” which means “A capable horse is not afraid of the long road.”
“Một con ngựa đau, cả tàu bỏ cỏ,” which literally translates to “When one horse is sick, the entire herd stops eating,” and speaks to the solidarity of feeling one another’s pain as our own.

We are motivated by the energetic spirit of the horse and humbled by the reminder that the road toward a just world remains long and arduous. Yet, it’s through persevering together that we build our strength and solidarity.

The calendar’s art style draws inspiration from Đông Hồ woodcuts, a Vietnamese folk painting tradition. These prints were traditionally used to celebrate Tết, and the style was repurposed for resistance during French colonial rule. All illustrations in the calendar are hand-drawn by our member artists in that same spirit.

The fundraiser ends November 17, 2025, at 11:59PM Pacific Time. A portion of the proceeds will go towards efforts to remove unexploded bombs that the U.S. dropped in Vietnam. Your calendars will be ready by the winter holidays and will make perfect gifts for your friends, family, and comrades!

About Us

Sông2Sea is a multi-ethnic and multi-racial community-based organization with ancestral connections to Asia Pacific and present-day Vietnam. Sông means river in Vietnamese, representing the many waterways that connect us to and from our homeland.
