Staff Sergeant Gary Lee Gillard honorably served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He made the ultimate sacrifice for his country on May 15, 1969. Gary was interred at West Lawn Memorial Park in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. It has been 55 years, but the memory of this courageous hero remains vivid in our hearts

In memory of Gary, The Gary Lee Gillard Memorial Fund was created to express gratitude to the families of those who lost their lives while serving our nation.

The fund aims to preserve the legacy of veterans in two ways:

Supporting the cost of memorial flags at West Lawn Cemetery, each with a plaque displaying service member details. These flags are exhibited at the cemetery's main entrance from Memorial Day to Veterans Day.
Assisting with funeral expenses nationwide for veterans.

Donations will contribute to the memorial flags at West Lawn Cemetery and other private cemeteries honoring veterans.
