KCS envisions a world where immigrant communities remain grounded in their heritage and work together with the broader community to build a better society at large.

Flutist Sieon Choi won prizes in numerous competitions, including the Lions of Virginia Bland Music Competition, the Flute Society of Washington competition, and the Pasadena Showcase competition. She made her concerto debut in 2018 with the Colburn Orchestras returning as a soloist in 2020. She has been a member of the Juilliard Orchestras and the North Shore Symphony Orchestra sub-list and the New World Symphony. Her highlights include playing principal roles with the Juilliard Orchestra in New York, Colburn Orchestra in Los Angeles, and Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra led by Benjamin Zander. Sieon received her Master’s degree at The Juilliard School in New York with Carol Wincenc. Previously, she earned a Bachelor’s degree at the Colburn School in Los Angeles and attended the New England Conservatory Preparatory School in high school. In addition to her achievements as a performer, Choi is passionate about teaching. She was a teaching fellow at the Colburn School and was a MAP and Morse teaching fellow at Juilliard. Ms. Choi is currently studying Doctoral of Musical Arts Degree at Stony Brook University with Carol Wincenc, where she served as a Flute Teaching Assistant.

Pianist Shuting Ye was admitted to the Middle School Affiliated to China Conservatory of Music (MSCC) in Beijing, dedicating six years to piano performance. During her study in Beijing, she studied under famous Chinese pianists such as Dan Feng, Shuman Ren, Xinning Zhang etc. In 2011, she was honored to perform at the Zhongshan Music Concert Hall as a representative of the piano department. After graduating from MSCC, Shuting pursued advanced piano studies at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, under Dr. Xiaoli Ding. Shuting toured Zhejiang International Studies University Concert Hall in Hangzhou and Jinhua Art Institute Concert Hall in Jinhua during the summer of 2017. That same year, she was selected as an honored student for the annual Washburn honors concert. As a concert pianist, she has collaborated with notable artists such as violinists Yu-Fang Chen and Zsolt Eder. In 2019, she graduated summa cum laude from Washburn University, the only honored student from the music department, and was accepted into New York University for an M.M. in Piano Performance and an A.D. in Piano Pedagogy.
