Project Snowline – Keep Frosty Rolling ❄️🚒

Founded in 1983, the Pittman Center Community Volunteer Fire Department has proudly remained a 100% volunteerdepartment, protecting a large portion of Sevier County and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Our history is one of resilience built through adversity. From the devastating 2016 wildfires to years of increasingly extreme fire seasons, our department has endured challenges that would have stopped many.

Two years before the 2022 Hatcher Mountain Fire, we lost one of our engines. Then, during the Hatcher Mountain Fire itself, we suffered another major blow when we lost our tanker. Despite these losses, we never stopped responding.

When we needed help most, the incredible people of the Grantsville Fire Company in Maryland donated a 1995 HME engine, now proudly known as “Frosty.” Frosty has served our community well, but years of harsh northern winters and road salt have left him with cosmetic damage that is now leading to rust and potential structural issues.

Project Snowline is our mission to wrap Frosty, preserve this engine, and keep him rolling—not melting into a puddle. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations are 100% tax deductible. ❄️💙
