SHE IS STILL WAITING FOR YOUR LETTER OR A PHONE CALL.
She heard your first cry, she was poor but would not eat anything so you could eat. She put you in bed every night and taught you the Lord’s Prayer. She worked hard so you could have a good education. She wouldn’t buy anything for herself so you could have everything. She put you through education so you could have a good life. Now that you are educated and are living in luxury and have important people around you you have forgotten about your mother. She told me, to ask you to remember her with just a letter/ a phone call, she is still concerned about you because she has not stopped loving you. So I ask you to write her a letter that’s all just a letter or better still give her a call, she'll be happy she at least heard your voice. So pick up that pen and paper and tell her that you are thinking about her or better still make that phone call that you've been putting away because your so-called busy schedule doesn't allow you to because she hasn’t stopped thinking about you. Go on she is waiting for that letter or that call, eagerly to see how you are. She doesn’t want anything because she gave everything so you could be happy. He sets at home, alone, all alone. He thinks his life has been forgotten. And in some ways, it has been forgotten. But not by Christ. That is why delivering food is far more than just dropping off the food and hurrying off to the next delivery.
The best part, the most rewarding part is not dropping off some food. The most rewarding part is sitting in his living room and listening to his story. And knowing him by the name his mother gave him but it has been a very long time since hearing it, being called by it.
