Sabor Montclair: Many flavors. One unique sabor.

For six years, Sabor Montclair has brought our community together around delicious food and a shared belief: Montclair is strongest when everyone has the opportunity to participate, contribute, and belong. Families in MFEE’s multilingual learner programs help shape this fundraiser, featuring takeout meals inspired by their cultures and traditions and prepared by local chefs and community members.

That mix of cultures, languages, backgrounds, and perspectives is part of what gives Montclair its unique sabor.

Through bilingual tutoring, enrichment programs, family support, digital literacy, summer learning, and more, MFEE helps students and families navigate their schools and community, build connections, and thrive—and helps all of us become better neighbors along the way.

At a time when many newcomer families are facing uncertainty, that sense of connection and belonging matters deeply.

Because sabor isn’t something we inherit. It’s something we create together.

What's on the Menu 😋

Each takeout dinner includes one tasting platter featuring all five of these delicious dishes:

NEW THIS YEAR! Peruvian Ceviche — fresh seafood marinated in bright lime juice
2 Tacos de Pernil — slow-roasted, marinated pork with pico de gallo and our famous green salsa
Pupusas de Frijol con Queso — cornmeal griddle cakes with beans and cheese
Gallo Pinto — seasoned beans and rice
Mexican Cinnamon Cookies

Last year, we sold out—a record 270 meals! So don’t miss your chance to taste delicious, authentic food prepared by local chefs from El Salvador, Peru, Nicaragua, Ecuador, and Mexico.

How it Works 🚗

Donate and reserve your meal
On Oct. 10th, pick up your dinner at your reserved time (Union Congregational Church, 176 Cooper Avenue, Montclair)
Volunteers bring the food to your car, so you don't need to find parking
Enjoy a meal at home, prepared by some of your Montclair neighbors!
