India is a land of suffering, and its 35 million stray animals are faring even worse. We’re fighting to help the animals no one else will.

We’re working to get care, food and shelter for the stray animals of Hyderabad, India. Hundreds of animals of all kinds given the care they need to survive. But we’re not done. The streets of Hyderabad in India are a rough place for stray animals, forced to fend for themselves against food scarcity, abuse, and temperatures up to 115 degrees. When I first saw the plight of these poor creatures, I knew I had to help.

We formed our foundation to provide rescue crews, food, medical care, and training to give a brand new life to neglected dogs, cats, livestock, and more. Now we’re thinking even bigger. With your help, we can build Hyderabad’s animal shelter and sanctuary bringing in stray and injured animals to live out their lives in peace and comfort or train new human companions to give them forever homes.

SAFI is building Hyderabad’s free-of-cost, low-kill stray animal shelter—but it’s so much more than that. Built on the goshala concept of the sanctity of animal life, our 50-bed shelter will feature a shelter, sanctuary. In 2022 we expanded to 100-bed sanctuary, along with a clinic and a cat rescue. By 2030, we plan to buy our own land.

2022 Expansion

2030 Expansion & plans

Buy land and build 500-bed shelter and sanctuary.
Hire 5 veterinarians, 15 veterinary technicians.
Spay neuter 500 stray dogs and cats per month.
Buy 5 ambulances to accommodate the transportation.
