HELP SAVE EXPLORATIONS ACADEMY

We need your help to keep our education offerings alive.

For 30 years, Explorations Academy has offered something extraordinary to students in Bellingham: a middle school experience where learning goes beyond textbooks, relationships matter, and young people are encouraged to discover who they are and what they're capable of.

Explorations Academy, a non-profit school is facing a critical financial shortfall. Without immediate community support, we will be faced with difficult decisions about our school future. We are launching an urgent $130,000 fundraising campaign to ensure our offerings continue as they are through the end of this school year, support our students and educators, and give EA the opportunity to build a financially sustainable future.

Our Community Needs Explorations Academy

Middle school is a pivotal time in a child's life. At EA, students find belonging, build confidence, develop meaningful relationships, and discover a love of learning through hands-on experiences, outdoor education, and real-world exploration. For many families, EA isn't simply another educational option. It's the place where their children finally feel seen, supported, challenged, and inspired.

Our community needs a school like this. Our students need a school like this. And we cannot afford to lose it.

Explorations Academy Is Worth Fighting For

Our families, educators, and community are coming together with determination, passion, drive and HOPE. We believe deeply in what EA offers, and we're committed not only to saving our school today, but to strengthening its foundation for generations to come.

"I believe in our school, our families, and the incredible things that can happen when a community comes together for something bigger than themselves. EA isn't just a middle school - it is a community and it has saved my child. I believe that when people unite with passion, purpose, and a shared belief in what's possible, magic can happen!" - Tess Whitten-Marsh, EA Parent & Steering Committee Member
