Story
We need your help now more than ever! Thousands of wild horses have been rounded up off the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. Those horses have been sent to kill pens across the west and many horses have already been direct shipped to Mexico for slaughter, leaving many baby foals under the age of 1 years old motherless and suffering. We need your help now more than ever so we can do our part. Liberty Sanctuary has rescued 12 of these sweet babies. We need your donations NOW to help bail out the foals, provide medical attention and arrange for transport. We will also need to purchase special milk replacement for the foals to replenish their nourishment since they have been separated from their mothers. Please help! Donate now and please share. We could really use all of your help to get them safe and to care for them on site.
BECAUSE OF YOUR EARLY HELP WE HAVE DECIDED TO RESCUE 12 HORSES. BUT THAT'S ALSO 12 MOUTHS TO FEED, HEARTS TO HEAL, SOULS TO REIGNITE. WE NEED YOUR HELP MORE THAN EVER!
Also, write your state legislators and tell them you think these acts are unconscionable and unAmerican. We need to pass the bipartisan SAFE (Save America's Forgotten Equines) Act to end the export of American horses for slaughter. Here's how!
On behalf of all Forgotten Equines, we are truly grateful.
Sincerely,
Debra West, Founder

Liberty Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) equine sanctuary outside of Park City, Utah which offers freedom for equines rescued from the slaughter pipeline, a vast network responsible for sending mostly adoptable horses to slaughter after enduring documented, consistent abuse and suffering during all phases of the pipeline. The sanctuary was inaugurated in 2023 by a group of caring individuals and equine enthusiasts in an effort to save horses from slaughter and to advocate for them. We support the bi-partisan SAFE Act (Save America’s Forgotten Horses) and also seek other safe management of America’s equine population. For more info, visit www.libertysanctuary.org. #PASSTHESAFEACT
