The Summit Area YMCA Seals Lap-a-Thon has been a cornerstone of our fundraising efforts season after season. This event sees our swimmers raising funds for essential supplies that support our practices and swim meets, all by swimming the length of the pool. This year, in celebration of our team's 101st anniversary, we are excited to once again combine the Lap-a-Thon with our annual 5K challenge at BHCP.

This year's lap-a-thon is set for Wednesday May 29 with a rain date of Thursday, May 30, during your swimmer’s normal practice time at BHCP. We are hoping for 100% participation and will have a PIZZA PARTY after their swim to celebrate! Spectators are welcome to join us on this date and cheer on their swimmers.

Our swim categories are as follows:

15 & Overs – 5K (5000 meters or 100 laps)
13-14s – 4K (80 laps)
11-12s – 2K (40 laps)
10 & Under – 1K (20 laps)

How you can help: Swimmers will be asking family, friends, neighbors, teachers, and/or businesses to pledge money per length, or by make a flat donation in support of the SAY Swim Team.

Team Fundraising Goal of $25,000

General Team Fundraising / End of Season Banquet Subsidy – 10%
Sunkissed Team - 20%
National Team - 20%
SAY Community Strong Campaign - 50% or a maximum of $15,000
