At Unearth and Empower Communities (UEC), we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to pursue higher education—regardless of their zip code or income level. Our College Scholarship Program was created to turn that belief into action.

Each year, UEC awards scholarships to graduating seniors and college students from Compton who have participated in our programs and demonstrated resilience, leadership, and a deep commitment to their futures. These scholars are often the first in their families to attend college. They face financial barriers that could derail their dreams—but your generosity can change that.

To date, we've awarded over $62,000 in scholarships, empowering students to attend institutions across the country and pursue careers in education, STEM, health care, business, and the arts. Our recipients come from communities where over 80% of youth begin their education below grade level, yet 98% of UEC students graduate from high school, and 90% go on to employment or higher education.
