We know that children cannot learn and grow if they do not have access to adequate nutrition. Educators and school staff in our area are faced with the challenge of observing children who must have less than others - and sometimes nothing at all. We can help.

The SMTAR Caring 4 Children School Nutrition Program challenges our neighbors to donate $20 (or more), through our program, to their local school district to aid students who may be experiencing food insecurity. Funds raised through our campaign may be used for snack programs or in school food pantries that supply nutrition directly to students in need. Funds raised by the SMTAR Public Relations Committee will be distributed to schools through their district offices.

Our program covers 8 counties in Southern Middle Tennessee: Giles, Lawrence, Lewis, Lincoln, Marshall, Maury, Perry and Wayne. When making a donation, you have the option of selecting a single county or donating to all counties.
