Why are we fundraising for a tractor?

In a small village in western Ukraine, just across the fence from our main volunteer warehouse, students attend a school that has become a pillar of stability and hope. Many of the volunteers at our warehouse attended or have close ties to this school.

This school is one of only a few in the region providing high schoolers with a certified professional agricultural diploma, giving village graduates immediate job readiness in farming, construction, and mechanical maintenance of different kinds of equipment.

To maintain their state teaching license and provide hands-on instruction, the school needs a functional tractor. Right now, they rely on a 60-year-old soviet-era tractor that is constantly failing and near total breakdown. Without a reliable tractor, these young students risk losing their path to a certified profession right as they enter the workforce.

Brand-New Tractor: Sourced directly from the factory to ensure durability and quality while avoiding inflated retail- and used market prices.
Hands-on Training: Teaches high schoolers skills directly transferable to agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and military machinery maintenance.

Past Progress at this School

With your support, we have stepped up year over year to keep this community safe and functional:

Summer 2026 (in progress): Delivering donated solar panels to power heating water circulation pumps, ensuring continuous heat even during grid outages.
Spring 2026: repaired heating pipes in the second facility so kids could learn in warmth during the freezing winter
Winter 2025: Emergency Systems: Replaced the school's outdated emergency announcement and air raid alert systems.
Fall 2025: Built working indoor restrooms inside the bomb shelter, where students often have to spend entire days during air raid alerts.
Summer 2025 Heating Repair: Successfully replaced the broken boiler system in the main school building
