We uplift and empower all scientists - including those from historically excluded groups - to be the next leaders of discovery research.

We teach the hidden curriculum.

Learning how to communicate your data is essential for a career in science.

Yet these skills are rarely taught.

Our research shows that this hidden curriculum holds scientists back - and makes them feel like they don't belong.

We tackle these skills head-on, using a proven arts-based approach.

Giving great talks using performance.
Overcoming writing anxiety though poetry.
Staying poised under pressure using improvisation.
Building resilient and inclusive communities.

We use an arts-based approach to science communication skills.

This enables us to teach the "non-science" skills that scientists need to succeed in a way that affirms and empowers who they already are.

After attending one of our workshops, scientists feel more confident, connected, and optimistic about their careers.

We help anyone who has struggled to feel like they belong in STEM gain a greater sense of belonging.

people with disabilities or chronic illness

Marianna is a 6th-year PhD candidate studying Immunology who just started writing her dissertation. Marianna is a woman of color, speaks English as a second language, and is the first in her family to go to college.

She's dedicated hours to experiments and is absolutely the expert on her cutting-edge project. But, she's feeling drained, overwhelmed, and unsure as she navigates this career milestone.
