On June 4th, we gather in gratitude to honor the legacy of Bishop John Zwijsen and Mother Marie Alma Lafond, whose vision of faith, charity, and loving service continues to inspire us today.

Since 1832, the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church have devoted their lives to nurturing hearts, educating minds, and caring for the most vulnerable among us.

Today, that mission continues through the Holy Family Food Pantry, where families, elderly neighbors, and individuals facing difficult times come seeking help and hope.

What is the Holy Family Food Pantry?

The Holy Family Food Pantry is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church dedicated to serving families, elderly neighbors, and individuals experiencing food insecurity and financial hardship.

Rooted in the Sisters’ mission of sanctity and service, the pantry provides groceries, pantry staples, and essential support to members of the local community who are struggling to make ends meet.

Each week, people come to the Sisters searching for help during difficult times. Some are elderly and living alone. Some are struggling with rising grocery costs. Others are families doing their best to provide for their children.

No matter the circumstance, every person who comes to the Holy Family Food Pantry is welcomed with compassion, dignity, and love.

Through this ministry, the Sisters seek to provide not only nourishment for the body, but also hope, kindness, and the reminder that no one is forgotten.

A gift of $25 can help provide pantry staples for a family in need.
A gift of $50 can help stock shelves with essential groceries for struggling neighbors.
A gift of $100 can help provide meals and continued support to families and elderly individuals who rely on the Sisters during difficult times.
A gift of $500 can help provide many of the items needed by families that we may not receive regularly such as diapers and formula, meats and fresh produce, or even school supplies in the fall.
A gift of $1,000 can help not only provide needed food and supplies, but also support needed upgrades to our food pantry so we can better serve and care for our families in need.

Who Are the Sisters?

The Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church are a Roman Catholic religious community devoted to living a life of sanctity and service in imitation of Our Blessed Mother. Inspired by her faith, humility, and loving obedience to God, the Sisters serve wherever they are called through prayer, education, care for the sick and elderly, outreach to the poor, and daily acts of charity.

Through every act of love, they seek to make Christ known in the world.

As Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church we embrace our two-fold mission of sanctity and service. In a spirit of simplicity we aspire to live a life rooted in the Gospel, in imitation of Mary and expressed by prayer, charity, self sacrifice and loving obedience. We devote ourselves to the works of charity, and as true daughters in the heart of the Church, we serve others through the apostolates of education, caring for the sick, the aging and the poor, wherever there is a need.
