Empower Students Through Generation SDG DRC

Your donation helps launch Generation SDG DRC, a pioneering partnership between SDG Youth Connect and Solidarité Juridique: Green Justice, designed to empower 500 students in Bukavu, South Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo.

The program focuses on SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), connecting global sustainability goals with local realities such as security instability and the digital divide.

Through a structured inter-school competition, students will first participate in a digital SDG knowledge assessment, followed by a high-level youth advocacy finale where they present concrete solutions for sustainable development in conflict-affected communities.

The project will culminate in the publication of a Youth Advocacy White Paper, amplifying the voices of Congolese youth and providing policy ideas to development stakeholders. This initiative gives young people not only knowledge of the SDGs, but also the confidence and skills to become advocates for peace, justice, and sustainable development in their communities.

Expand Youth Leadership and Economic Opportunity in South Africa

Your support also helps power SDG Youth Connect South Africa, a youth development initiative designed to address structural inequality by combining cultural heritage preservation with economic inclusion strategies.

The program positions youth as agents of transformation within culturally diverse societies facing persistent socio-economic disparities. By integrating heritage-centered learning with economic empowerment opportunities, the initiative promotes inclusive development and social cohesion.

Participants engage in policy dialogue, sustainable agriculture training, and institutional exposure experiences that help them better understand development governance and economic systems. The program also promotes youth participation in policymaking spaces and encourages young leaders to develop solutions that address inequality within their communities.

These activities contribute directly to global goals including SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
