This season, the Henry Purcell Society of Boston invites you into three very different worlds of English Baroque music.

We begin with The Loves of Mars and Venus, a theatrical evening of Restoration music filled with intrigue: love, jealousy, seduction, comedy, and celestial misbehavior. Nov 20, 2026 7pm

Then we head to the tavern for Purcell & the Pub, part of our new A Taste of What We Do series—an intimate, social evening of music, conversation, and a little something to drink. January 23, 2027, 6pm & 8pm seatings!

In the spring, Hark! The Wild Musicians Sing! lets the season loose with William Boyce’s buoyant trio sonatas, led by Susanna Ogata, alongside Purcell’s pastoral and rarely heard symphony songs for our singers—a program of springtime, virtuosity, frolicking, and a few surprises along the way. April 17, 2027, 7pm!
