Seed capital is exactly what the name suggests. It is the first money in. The dollars that make everything else possible before the land is leased, before the animals arrive, before the first workshop runs, and before the first family plants their first grow bag. Without seed capital an organization cannot file its paperwork, pay its first legal bill, open its first bank account, or take the foundational steps that make every subsequent dollar of fundraising possible.

Bryant & Co. Foundation was built by people who showed up before there was anything to show for it. The seed capital campaign honors that spirit. Every dollar raised here goes toward the basic organizational infrastructure that allows us to operate with integrity, accountability, and legal standing from day one.

This is not a glamorous campaign. There are no animals, no workshops, no block parties attached to it. But without it none of those things exist. Consider this the soil before the seed. The foundation before the frame. The thing that has to happen first so that everything else can happen at all.

How your donation will be used:
Funds go toward nonprofit filing fees and state registration costs, initial legal fees for organizational documents and compliance, accounting setup and bookkeeping infrastructure, basic technology and communication tools, domain registration and website hosting, and the administrative costs of getting a nonprofit organization properly off the ground.

How it will be tracked and reported:
Every expenditure from the seed capital fund is documented with receipts and categorized by administrative function. Donors receive a one-time founding report detailing exactly how seed capital was deployed and what organizational milestones it made possible. This report becomes part of our permanent founding record and is available to all seed capital donors upon request.

Why this matters:
The seed has to go somewhere before it can grow. This is where it goes first.
