Somewhere out there, a rhino calf is waiting for someone to come.

Maybe she's orphaned. Maybe she's injured. Maybe she's simply running out of wild places to live. And every time, the question is the same: when help arrives, is there a safe place to take her?

Since 2018, the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation has stood on the front lines of rhino and wildlife protection in South Africa. We've paid the salaries of the rangers who walk into the bush at night. We've funded the surgeries that save broken animals. We've sat with the orphans. And again and again, we've seen the same hard truth: every rescue, every recovery, and every release begins with land.

So we went and found it.

We have identified land where rescued rhinos and other wildlife can heal, roam, and live wild, and we are raising the funds to purchase it. It is the first step in our most ambitious chapter yet. Once the land is secured, we will build toward a specialty wildlife hospital, a place where injured and orphaned animals get the care they need, grow strong, and go home to the wild.

Right now, that land is still just land. With you, it becomes a home.

What eight years of your support has already made possible

OUR TRACK RECORD

Together with our supporters, we have:

Paid the salaries of 75 anti-poaching rangers.
Supported 100 anti-poaching operations, including K9 units, leading to more than 100 direct interventions against poaching and trafficking.
Helped protect 600 animals through the conservation teams and rhino orphanages we support.
Funded 175 veterinary cases with partners Care for Wild and Rhino Pride Foundation.
Funded 40 rhino horn removals to make rhinos less of a target for poachers.
Reached approx. 6,500 students and young people through school visits, workshops, and digital education.
Provided 1,500 emergency relief packages and assisted 2,500 community members through Ranger Relief and community outreach.
Sponsored ranger training with the Southern African Wildlife College and Conservation Outcomes.
Cared for a blind black rhino named Munu, who is one of our proudest successes. After four years of daily care, from 2022 to 2026, he has proven he can thrive on his own, and we are now turning our focus to the many other rhinos and animals who need us.

"Thanks to SEF's support, we were able to operate efficiently, leading to the prevention of multiple poaching attempts in our reserve."-anonymous anti-poaching ranger

This is what we have done without a home of our own. Imagine what we can do with one.

WHAT WE'RE WORKING TOWARD

- Rescue: When wildlife is injured, orphaned, or in danger, we will be able to answer the call.

- Recover: We are working toward a dedicated large animal wildlife hospital, with specialist veterinary care for the animals who need it most.

- Rehabilitate: We will help each animal rebuild its strength and its wild instincts, so it is truly ready to go home.

- Rewild: We will return animals to the wild, where they were always meant to be.

- Range Expansion: We will acquire neighboring land to connect wild spaces into corridors where animals can roam freely, and restore former farming and hunting land to its natural state. Every acre we protect is an acre that stays wild instead of being developed.

- Community & Youth: We are developing programs with our neighboring communities, and our youth program, Animal Avengers, is launching soon

WHY WE CAN'T WAIT

Land does not stay available forever. Once it is developed, it is gone, and so is every animal that could have called it home.

WHY YOUR GIFT MATTERS NOW

Your gift, whether one-time or monthly, brings a rescued animal one step closer to a place where it is safe, healed, and free. Monthly giving is especially powerful, because it gives us steady support we can plan around as we move from land to hospital to release.

Please, help us give them a place to come home to.

Give Them a Place to Come Home To

We've found the land where rescued rhinos and wildlife can heal, roam, and live wild. Now we need you to help us secure it, before it's lost to development forever.
