At Lillie May Carroll Jackson School, we believe our scholars deserve a world-sized education.

In June 2027, Lillie May scholars will travel to China for a 10-day educational immersion experience in Beijing and Xi’an. They will walk the Great Wall, explore the Forbidden City, visit the Terra Cotta Warriors, study language and culture, learn from local people, participate in cooking and Kung Fu classes, and see history not as something locked in a textbook, but as something they can touch, question, and carry home.

This trip is more than travel. It is a chance for our scholars to stretch their imagination, deepen their learning, and understand themselves as part of a wider world. It is an opportunity to practice curiosity, courage, leadership, and respect across cultures.

For many students, international travel can feel out of reach. We do not want cost to be the barrier that keeps a scholar from this life-changing experience.
