The NHS Robotics Club, Team 1908 The Shorebots, is having the most EPIC season in team history! For the first time, they will qualify to compete in the WORLD Championship event for FIRST Robotics in Houston.

The team has spent the last several months designing, testing, and steadily improving their own design for a 27"x27"x22", 109 lb robot that can speed across the game field, scoop up balls, and shoot them at a target while on the move. The mechanics and programming have been challenging, but the team has excelled!

Team #1908 claimed First Place finish in their first regional event and Second Place in their second regional event. They also impressed the judges with their design knowledge and clear communication to win the coveted Quality award and the Engineering Inspiration award.

This team is ON FIRE!

The FIRST Robotics World Championship will take place in Houston 4/29-5/3. Flights, hotel, food, event entry fees, and driving the "ShoreBox" robot to Houston will cost an estimated $25,000. NCPS and NASA are already on board to support parts of the trip, but the bulk of the fundraising remains.

Let's rally the community around this motivated, energetic team to send them to the championship!
