Join CarterCares, Inc., in partnership with Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County, for our Senior Care Drive and help us support local seniors in need. We are collecting essential personal-care items, including soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, and lotion, to provide comfort, dignity, and practical care. Every donation helps remind a senior in our community that they are valued, remembered, and cared for.

CarterCares

CarterCares is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Denise Bowman in honor of her parents, John and Louella Carter.

For more than 30 years, the Carter’s served the Fort Worth community through John Carter's Place, a beloved homestyle restaurant known not only for its food but for its heart. Their restaurant became a place where people found acceptance, opportunity, dignity, and care.

They were known for feeding those who were struggling, employing individuals who otherwise may not have had an opportunity, and treating every person who entered his establishment like family.

Today, CarterCares continues that legacy by supporting individuals and families facing hardship while promoting dignity, hope, and community connection.
