Every week, Shabbat Angels helps families who are struggling to put food on the table for Shabbat. With discretion and care, we add funds directly to their preferred grocery store accounts so they can shop for themselves, with dignity, with choice, and with grace.

This isn’t a one-time fundraiser. This is an ongoing mission. The need doesn’t go away after one Shabbat, and neither do we. Your support helps us care for families week after week, and gives us the power to say “yes” to those still waiting.

✡️ Who We Help
Each family we support has a story. Here are just a few:

🕯️ A single mother of three whose husband left and refuses to give her a get, leaving her in legal and financial limbo. She works two jobs and still can’t afford groceries every week.
🕯️ A family of four rebuilding after the father suffered a stroke and lost everything. The mother, after holding the family together for years, is now navigating life as a single parent.
🕯️ A family of eight who recently made aliyah from Israel. Both parents are working, but the cost of living and settling into a new country has left them unable to cover even the basics for Shabbat.

We never hand out food or packages.
Instead, we work directly with grocery stores to add funds to each family’s account.
This allows them to shop freely, like any other shopper, without feeling “helped” or watched.
The experience is one of empowerment and trust—not charity.
