Boston-based Irish flute player Shannon Heaton will lead a workshop, then perform an intimate set of tunes, songs, and stories, taking listeners on a tour of places and people that keep Irish music alive. After the hour-long show, she will lead a traditional Irish music session for all levels.

In her solo shows, Shannon shares tunes, songs, and stories, taking listeners on a tour of places and people who keep Irish music alive. She is passionate about making traditional music approachable to a wide range of listeners. Onstage and with her culture podcast Irish Music Stories she brings people IN to Irish traditional music. She’s accessible, welcoming, and fun.
