Our Story

We’re excited to officially introduce Shared Housing Support Foundation, a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to help people overcome the financial barriers to entering and maintaining safe, stable shared housing.

Shared Housing Support Foundation was created after seeing firsthand how many people struggle to find safe, affordable housing—and how relatively small financial barriers can stand between a person and a stable home.

A security deposit, move-in fee, utility expense, or temporary financial setback can be enough to prevent someone from securing housing or cause them to lose the stability they have worked hard to build.

We formed Shared Housing Support Foundation to help close those gaps. By bringing together donors, housing providers, local organizations, volunteers, and community partners, we can help more individuals access housing, remain stable, and move forward with dignity.

We’re launching our Resident Assistance Fund, and we would be honored to have you join us.
